FB Heliservices (FBH), a joint venture company between FR Aviation and Bristow Helicopters Ltd, is the main contractor supporting the Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS). Operating a fleet of AS350BB Squirrel and Bell 412EP Griffin helicopters, FBH trains more than 220 pilots a year from all three services, from ab initio to advanced levels. The training services provided by FBH are regarded as a benchmark across industry.

With years of practical experience providing training to UK and overseas students in classrooms, synthetic environments and in the air, FBH helps customers to develop cost-effective programmes.

With more than 50 instructors with 100,000 flying hours experience FBH provides single and multi-engine training covering roles including low flying, under slung loads, search and rescue, tactical formation, confined areas and night vision goggles.

With a 'state of the art' Bell 412 Griffin Simulator and cockpit trainers for the Griffin and AS350BB Squirrel FBH provides highly effective training seven days a week to UK and overseas students.

FBH can modify customer aircraft or provide tailored platforms to meet training requirements, supported by full turnkey service contracts if required.

Highly configurable mission equipment. can safely and cost effectively replicate the electronic signatures of specific radar threats including launch platforms and active missile heads. This essential training enables air, sea and land forces to validate equipment performance and exercise their responses and command chains.

Our unique range and experience of target towing supports live firing and proving of weapons systems and training regimes. This covers surface-to-air and air-to-air for missiles and gun systems, supported by real-time telemetry feedback of target parameters.

We can provide bulk laying and break-lock chaff capabilities to meet customer specific requirements.
